Evergreen Curling Club (ECC) welcomes curlers of all skill levels. Multiple leagues are available for curlers of all levels of experience from novice to highly competitive.
ECC offers member leagues seven nights a week during the curling season, as well as some daytime leagues. We run three sessions per year: Fall, Winter, and Spring. A current ECC membership is required before you are allowed to register for a member league. Please check the current league list for more information.
ECC typically offers one Doubles league per session.
Participation in Learn to Curl and Curling 101 is recommended (but not required) for individuals new to the sport prior to joining a member league.
ECC usually offers one or more non-member leagues each session. These leagues are suitable for players of all skill levels. Please check the current league list for more information.
Session | Approximate Dates | Games | Registration Open |
Fall | Oct 1-Dec 20 | 11-12 | Late Aug |
Winter | Jan 3-March 24 | 6-12 | Late Nov |
Spring | March 25-April 30 | 5-6 | Late Feb |
Start and end dates will vary from year to year. Exact session length and number of games per session will vary depending on holidays and bonspiel schedule.
Curlers are expected to provide their own equipment for league play, including grippers. New members can borrow a broom and grippers while deciding what to buy or waiting for their equipment to arrive.
League registration is first-come-first serve after our pre-registration period. In the fall session, pre-registration is open to the top volunteers in the club from the previous season. For winter session, participants in full fall leagues may re-register for their spot during the pre-registration period.
Not all leagues may be offered during all sessions. Tuesday night competitive league is for full, pre-made teams only. Individual registration is welcome in all other leagues, and all participants must register. All of our leagues are "open" unless otherwise specified, meaning any gender or combination of gender may form a team.
