Stick Curling

Have you ever thought to yourself “You know, I would love get out on the ice and try curling, but sliding down the ice while lunging isn’t going to happen”?

Got a bad back/ knees/ ankles/ feet/ shoulders/ elbows/ balance  BUT can’t take your eyes off curling during the Olympics AND would like to come try it?

We here at Evergreen Curling Club have the answer…Stick Curling

Is It Legal?

YES! Stick curlers can play on teams in all of our club leagues here at Evergreen.

Sturling League

We are also in the process of putting together a Sturling League.

***Update! It's Happening and registration is now open! ***

The Nov/Dec league will run once-a-week for 5 weeks and play on different days of the week at 10am. Cost is $80/player.

Game dates are Th 11/7,  Mon 11/11,  Th 11/21,  Tu 11/26,  and Tu 12/3.

What the heck is Sturling?  (Standing + Curling = Sturling)

It's a game that follows the general rules of curling with the following modifications....

-2 players per team, 6 ends (90 minutes), 6 rocks per end

-Teammates stay at opposite ends of the sheet and play all 6 rocks in a given end  (ex. player 1 throws all six rocks in the first end while player 2 skips. Vise-versa in end 2...think cornhole)

-Sweeping is allowed only from the hog line to the house.

-One timeout per game to for both players to talk things over. Otherwise, players must not cross the hog lines.

It's fast. It's fun. AND it's joint friendly.
