COVID-19 Policy

COVID-19 Policy for 2022-2023

COVID-19 is a fluid situation. This page will be updated if policies change.

Our great sport welcomes people of all ages, from all walks of life, from all over our metro region and ECC will continue to provide curling during this worldwide pandemic.   COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact.   For the safety of our members and guests, ECC has instituted the following COVID-19 policies until further notice: (Click here for an easy-to-follow flowchart)

Proof of vaccine status is no longer required for Public/Spectators/Outside Participants

  • ECC no longer requires vaccination for anyone  using club facilities. We do, however, still encourage vaccination.

  • Masks: ECC will not require members or visitors to wear masks unless required by federal, state, county, or local governmental mandate.

    • Members and visitors who do want to wear masks will be allowed to do so at any time.

  • Isolation and Quarantine: ECC will follow CDC recommendations on the isolation and quarantine of anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 or who has COVID-19 related symptoms.

    • ECC will provide instructions on its website for those who test positive for COVID-19 or who have symptoms consistent with a possible case of COVID-19.

    • These instructions may change over time as situations change. Members and visitors are required to stay up-to-date with these instructions.

    • All members and visitors are required to follow these instructions regardless of vaccination status.

  • In the case that vaccinations need to be reinstated for any reason, ECC will not be obligated to issue refunds for any active league after the second week of that league.

  • All COVID-19 policies are subject to change and may change quickly with new developments.

Proof or attestation of vaccine status is no longer required for ECC Members

  • The ECC Board of Directors has dropped the vaccination requirement for anyone using club facilities for the start 2022-23 season.

  • If any governmental body or future developments in the disease require ECC to request proof of vaccination or immunity in the future, ECC will inform its membership of the change in policy and how to comply.

  • ECC will not ask anyone using club facilities to say whether they are vaccinated or previously infected when signing the yearly waivers. However, if ECC is required by a governmental body to obtain this information in the future, ECC will comply.

ECC COVID Exposure/Symptoms/Testing Flowchart (updated January 26 2022)

COVID-19 Isolation Rules: Members and guests must be free of all COVID-19 symptoms to enter the club. If a member or guest starts displaying symptoms of COVID-19 while at the club, they must leave immediately. Members and guests who have symptoms of COVID-19 must not return before the symptoms resolve. Members and guests who are asymptomatic but have tested positive for COVID-19, must not return to the club for 5 days or until symptoms resolve if symptoms develop after testing.

The above policies are subject to change as governmental requirements change. The ECC Board of Directors may add requirements beyond what is required by federal, state, and local governments if they determine such a requirement is necessary for the health of our members and guests and the continued operation of the club.
