ECC Celebrates the Olympics!

Has watching curling during the Olympic Games piqued your interest in the sport? Are you mesmerized by the skill and strategy on display? And have you ever thought, “I’d like to try that”? You can! Evergreen Curling Club in Beaverton is the only facility dedicated to curling in Oregon -- and one of the few on the West Coast.

During the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, ECC is planning to offer a variety of events designed to teach you more about curling.  The games will kick off on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, with Mixed Doubles Curling, followed by Men’s and Women’s team competitions, concluding on Saturday, February 19th, 2022.

Learn curling from us by taking a lesson or by watching a game while sipping a whisky with an ECC curler (COVID-19 vaccinations are currently required for club members and visitors 12 years old and up). Just remember, in 2018 our lessons sold out faster than we ever knew possible, so register for a lesson early!  There’s no better place in the Portland area than Evergreen Curling Club to check out the Olympic sport of curling!

Watch Parties

What better place to learn about curling than watching it at a curling club! Stop by one of our Olympic Watch Parties and learn about the game from experienced ECC curlers who will walk you through the game, explain the jargon, and tell you what's happening and why it's important. Sample another key component of the game by kicking back with a drink -- Scots Whisky, perhaps -- from our full bar. No cost for entry, but buying a round of beverages or ordering a pizza is much appreciated.
