Save the Ice Fund

2024-25 Fundraising Campaign

ECC has high hopes of raising $500k to simultaneously improve our ice and replace some of our aging equipment.

A 12 year old curling facility is similar to an aging car.   We have resolved several smaller issues over the last few years but maintenance costs are creeping up and the risk of a catastrophic failure is rising.

Help us replace this aging equipment, and receive higher quality ice (we're talking to you, sheet A) as a bonus!

Ice Grid System Components

Current System

Our current ice is cooled by glycol running through tubes, buried in sand, on a not-level concrete floor.  Because the tubes in the sand are fragile, we cannot use the ice house in the summer for anything.

In order to upgrade our aging tubes/sand, we need to remove the current system, the sand, level the concrete floor, and install a new system.  The new system is expected to dramatically improve sheet A.
