This policy will be updated to follow OHA guidelines.
Our great sport welcomes people of all ages, from all walks of life, from all over our metro region and ECC will continue to provide curling during this worldwide pandemic. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. With respect to safety, we require all members and guests to follow some specific extra precautions. After reviewing available scientific materials regarding the COVID-19 virus and its behavior in settings similar to our ice house, Evergreen Curling Club has instituted a temporary policy change for the 2021-2022 season, which is subject to change as local COVID-19 metrics change, or new information regarding COVID-19 or health regulations is acquired.
COVID-19 vaccination is required for all persons aged 5 and up to enter the ECC facility, regardless of your reason for entering. Proof of vaccination may be shown upon arrival, or emailed in advance should one choose to do so.
Face masks that meet CDC guidelines are optional for all people aged 5 and up who enter the ECC facility, per state/local mandates. “Face covering” means a cloth, polypropylene, paper or other face covering that covers the nose and the mouth and that rests snugly above the nose, below the mouth, and on the sides of the face. The following are not face coverings because they allow droplets to be released: a covering that incorporates a valve that is designed to facilitate easy exhalation, mesh masks, lace masks or other coverings with openings, holes, visible gaps in the design or material, or vents. It is recommended that those playing a game of curling bring extra masks in the event that their worn mask becomes damp and needs to be changed. Damp masks are cold masks!
Guests are required to provide their own face masks and water bottles with resealable lid. Guests will be free of all COVID-19 symptoms and not have tested positive for a minimum of 30 days prior to entering the ECC facility. If you have symptoms, stay home.
